InkPoster Duna erhält den IFA Innovation Award 2026

InkPoster Duna Wins the 2026 IFA Innovation Award

An award recognizing a unique blend of design and innovation: InkPoster Duna was honored with the IFA Innovation Award at IFA 2026 in Berlin. The award recognizes products that open up new perspectives on technology, design, and their applications. Duna will be presented alongside other award-winning innovations at the IFA Showcase Spot on September 4 as part of the IFA event.

The focus is not solely on the technology, but on the design of the entire object. For Duna, InkPoster collaborated with the renowned Italian design studio Pininfarina. Known for its work in automotive design, Pininfarina applies its distinctive design language to a digital art object.

Design that provides a framework for art

The name Duna says it all: The gently curved mat frame evokes the flowing shape of a dune. A sleek aluminum profile meets Alcantara, creating a contrast in materials that clearly sets Duna apart from classic displays.

The design’s origins are also evident. The package includes an exclusive selection of automotive sketches from the Pininfarina archive. Among them are designs for one-off pieces and experimental prototypes that never went into production. Thus, Duna not only brings digital art to the wall but also a piece of Italian design history.

When Technology Takes a Back Seat

The IFA Innovation Honoree Award specifically recognizes the interplay of various elements in Duna. This large-format art poster combines digital art with a deliberately understated technological approach. The image takes center stage, while the technology draws as little attention as possible.

The wireless design complements this perfectly: Duna can be mounted on the wall without a permanently visible power cord. This also opens up new possibilities for interior design—since the artwork’s placement is no longer dictated by the location of a power outlet.

With this award at IFA 2026, Duna receives recognition for an idea that does not view technology as an end in itself: digital art should blend naturally into its surroundings—and in doing so, become a design object in its own right.
